MEET THE BEACH: Indian Rock Beach

A quiet town of approximately 4,000, Indian Rocks Beach was initially developed in the 1920’s as a weekend getaway destination for wealthy inland Florida residents. Its 2.7 miles of beachfront are popular with all ages and between its array of motels and condominiums there are more than 20 convenient beach access points.

This community's sensitivity to the environment, beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants, and quaint hotels continues to make it a favorite for locals and seasonal guests.

Indian Rocks Beach is a welcoming community that many view as a “Little Piece of Heaven”. There are many activities for you to enjoy the beautiful public beaches, unique and quaint hotels and the many activities for you and your family to enjoy!


 

WALK RIGHT TO THE BEACH

No matter where you are on Indian Rocks Beach, you are sure to have the ability to walk right on the beautiful sandy shores. This community has 27 unique beach access points, all with their own character and flair. Many stop to take a picture of their infamous, brightly colored signs encouraging beach goers to “please leave nothing but your footprints”. The easily accessible beaches and intracoastal waterways provide an array of enjoyable activities for residents and visitors alike.

UNIQUE PLACES TO STAY

The charm of Indian Rocks Beach is reflected in the variety of unique places to stay. There are boutique hotels, beachside vacation rentals and even a hotel featuring two 42-foot tall water slides, a lazy river and zero-entry pool. Whether you want a cozy rental where the beach is in your backyard or a stay at a hotel the whole family can enjoy; There are an endless number of amenities available for your pleasure.  


ACTIVITIES IN THE SUN

Whether you swim, fish, boat or just sunbathe there are an endless number of activities in the sun. Indian Rocks Beach has numerous parks, boat ramps, boardwalks and recreational facilities. The City even has a state of the art skateboard park. A great way to enjoy a day with your pup is a trip Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve where you can play at the dog park and then take a leisurely stroll down the adjacent boardwalk leading right up to the water.
