JOHN’S PASS VILLAGE AND BOARDWALK

A whole day could easily be spent walking the shops and boardwalk at John’s Pass. Featuring over 100 stores and restaurants, there is something to do for everyone. Check out the unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. The beauty of the boardwalk and the quality of the shops and restaurants are enough to keep even the locals coming back.

WINTER THE DOLPHIN

Go visit a Tampa Bay movie star, Winter! Winter the Dolphin starred in the Dolphin Tale films, and still resides in her rescue home at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. After losing her tail from becoming entangled in a crab trap line, the team at Clearwater Marine Aquarium worked with the Hanger Clinic to develop a prosthetic tail, allowing Winter to make a full recovery. Come visit her, her best friend Hope and their other aquatic friends for a heartwarming aquarium experience.

SEA LIFE SEARCHIN’

Look for sea life, shells, or simply sit back and enjoy the views from the water? Shell Key is home to some of the best shelling, bird and sea life watching on the Gulf Coast. To take it all in, the Shell Key Shuttle gives you as much time as you want, allowing you to come and go on your own schedule with three departure and three return times. Masks and snorkels are provided on board as well as umbrellas for optimal shelling and lounging.

PASS-A-GRILLE SUNSETS

This beautiful stretch of beach is known for their traditional sunset bell ringing at Pass-A-Grille. Visitors from all over the country and the world will sign the bell’s guest book after ringing the bell and honoring life’s special moments. Leading up to this sunset tradition, you can enjoy Pass-A-Grille swimming in the clear water and white sand, fishing off the Merry Pier and sea walls, or shop your way down the street all the way to the Don Cesar

KISS A GATOR

Located in one of the most popular destinations in Pinellas County, The Alligator and Wildlife Discovery Center in John’s Pass gives you the once in a lifetime chance to kiss a gator! This  education and conservation center houses over 200 animal rescues, including reptiles, mammals, & aquatic wildlife. This is one of the best ways to get up close and personal with Florida’s native critters.

OPEN-AIR MARKETS

Since the opening of Corey Avenue in February 1937, the variety of businesses and boutiques has made it a popular destination–especially for their Sunday morning markets. This hidden gem supports 50-80 vendors selling everything from local art to produce. The Corey Avenue Sunday Market on St. Pete Beach is a favorite of tourists and residents alike. The Market is open every Sunday year round! You can also find seasonal markets in Pass-A-Grille and Madeira Beach!
