BIO OF PRESENTER:
Joe Fernandez is a certified mentor and a presenter of workshops for SCORE. He is also a management consultant to small business owners. Joe's passion is to deliver high-quality products and superior service to his clients. He believes that businesses must serve their customers, employees, suppliers, communities, and stockholders with equal commitment. Having started, grown, and sold successful companies, Joe now helps small businesses to do the same.
As CEO and board director, Joe has run successful public and private start-ups, turnarounds, and international businesses. He has consulted for several private equity investment firms, and he owned a multi-unit franchised business for 14 years. Joe has served on union benefits funds and retail industry councils and has been executive-in-residence at business schools. He is also a presenter at business conferences.
Joe and his wife reside in the Tampa Bay area, where they enjoy travel, classic movies, and collecting animation art. Joe also enjoys cooking, and was once a contestant on a Food Network game show. He engages in both right-brain and left-brain endeavors with equal zeal.
