Storm-damaged storefront returns to the Village's main drag with a renewed focus on local art, unique gifts, and trip planning.
MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. — Hubbard's Marina is celebrating the grand reopening of its boutique in John's Pass Village, marking the store's return after an extended closure caused by Hurricane Helene in late 2024. The storefront, located along the Village's main thoroughfare, has served as a hub for ticket sales, trip information, and retail for visitors exploring John's Pass. Hurricane Helene left the building with significant structural damage, and the permitting and rehabilitation process took far longer than anticipated. Now Hubbard's Marina is ready to mark the occasion with a grand opening celebration.
Its central location on the Village's main drag makes it a natural stop for ticket sales and trip information, while the store also provides the opportunity to spotlight local artists, feature unique art pieces, and offer merchandise and souvenirs not found elsewhere in the Pass.
"While we were able to open our main locations just days following these back-to-back major hurricanes at the end of 2024, this location has taken some more time due to structural issues," said Dylan Hubbard, CEO of Hubbard's Marina. "However, we are happy to be out of the permitting and building process and ready to look forward to a bright future not only for this store, but for all of our region as we continue to demonstrate resilience and determination to put those disasters in our rear view."
