wine with a curator: dalí’s visions of the dark grape Pour a glass and join us on YouTube as our Curator of Education Peter Tush sips and examines Dalí’s works with a special Los Vinos de Dalí presentation of “Dalí’s Visions of the Dark Grape.” “Dali Visions of the Dark Grape” will use Dalí’s book, The Wines of Gala, as a jumping off point to explore Dalí’s references to wine and grape throughout his career. From the story of his first bender in The Secret Life, through his uses of the goblet/face illusion in the Tristan and Isolde locket, to the sacrament of turning water into wine in The Last Supper, this talk will broadly riff on and explore Dali’s Dionysian references to, visions of, and commentary about the dark grape. Visit our YouTube channel on April 12 at 6pm to stream this event.
