Mayor's "Derby Day" Golf Tournament

The Largo Golf Course invites golfers of all skill levels to join the 26th Annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament, themed “Derby Day,” on Saturday, May 3. This year’s tournament is all about jockey silks, fast swings, and a winning spirit, with a derby-themed twist. While players compete in a fun, friendly atmosphere, they’ll also be making a difference—proceeds support the City of Largo Summer Camp Youth Scholarship, sponsored by Largo’s Recreation, Parks and Arts Department. “Each year, this tournament is a hole-in-one for our community – great fun on the course and a chance to help local kids experience the fun at Largo Summer Camp,” said Mayor Woody Brown. “This year, we’re adding a little extra flair with our Derby Day theme, and I look forward to seeing everyone come out.” Participants can engage in friendly competition while positively impacting the community. The event kicks off with the Sponsorship Tournament from 8:30am to 12:30pm, followed by the Community Member Tournament from 2:30pm to 6:30pm. Each tournament offers 18 holes of golf, complete with a cart for easy navigation around the course. Registration is open to adults of all skill levels, with a registration fee of $65 per golfer.
