About Us

We give a guided history tour at the Jungle Prada Site. The Jungle Prada Site on Boca Ciega Bay features one of the best-preserved American Indian mounds in Florida. This large shell mound served as a gathering place for Tocobaga People living along the bay for hundreds of years. It is also recognized as the landing place of a 16th century Spanish expedition and was homesteaded by John Levique, for whom John's Pass is named, around the year 1842.
